Third session in the first day of the Lausanne Forum

entitled “The Lausanne Treaty and its implications on the Kurdish people”, was faciliated by Mrs Surgul Abdulsalam, a lecturer at University of Rojava. The session included three topics:
First: Delivered by the administator of the Rojava Centre for Strategic Studies, Munzer Shyar, who spoke about the Lausanne Treaty and the policies adopted by the occupying Powers of Kurdistan (nationalism, forced exdus, etc.)
The lecturer began a recent discussion of the conditions that accompanied Turkish State-building. Thus touched upon the most prominent discriminatory policies of extermination and denial pursued by the Turkish State against Kurds, He also noted that it was the Lausanne Treaty that gave courage to the occupied States of Kurdistan to pursue policies of denial, extermination and dissolution against the Kurdish people. and Shyar spoke of the disadvantages of the nation-state model built in the world, It was this model that made the majority of Turkish nationalism by dissolving other peoples in Turkey’s nation.
Shyar talked about Turkish state practices of the right of Kurds to massacres, exdus, exile and dissolution, and then pointed out that the Arab Belt inspired by Turkish policies.
videos were displaayed about the massacres of the occupied countries of Kurdistan and their practices against the Kurdish uprisings and revolutions over the past hundred years.
Topic II: Mr. Siyamand Moeini, co-chairman of the Free Life Party online, the lecturer initially challenged the causes and repercussions of the Lausanne Treaty, the circumstances and conditions surrounding it, and thus touched upon Turkish state practices on Kurds, and Lausanne was a reason to entrench those practices and divide the Kurdistan, and talked about Turkish state attacks on Bashur Kurdistan and Rojava Kurdistan.
At the conclusion of his lecture, Moeini spoke about the need for Kurdish unity and the convening of the Kurdish National Conference, which would end the Lausanne Treaty and its outcome. He also pointed out that the liberation of Commander Abdullah Ocalan was only one of the reasons for resolving the Kurdish issue.
