Proceedings of the Second Session of the Syrian Forum for National Dialogue Towards a Free, Pluralistic, Democratic Syria
The session was titled “The New Syria… Features and Solutions”
The session was moderated by Ms. Nourshan Hassan, and included two lectures; the first by Mr. Gabriel Shimon, Deputy Co-Presidency of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and the second by Ms. Fawza Youssef, member of the Co-Presidency of the Democratic Union Party.
Mr. Gabriel Shimon addressed the issue of the desired and hoped-for model for the system of government and constitution in Syria.
While Mrs. Fawza discussed the role of community cohesion and the form of the national conference hoped to resolve the issues.
Then the floor was opened for participants to intervene and discuss the session’s theme, where they enriched the session with their suggestions and comments.
There were many demands and proposals made by the participants to revive Syria and write a democratic constitution with the participation of the Syrians and express the aspirations of the Syrian people with all its components. The participants focused on decentralization and secularism, and the session concluded with the lecturers answering the participants’ questions
